<p><strong>(TEMPE, AZ) May 2, 2012 – </strong>The official sign and graphics provider for the Nashville Predators has placed a friendly wager with the sign and graphics provider for the Phoenix Coyotes. <a href="http://www.brandimaging.com/">Brand Imaging Group</a> in Antioch and <a href="http://bluemedia.com/">bluemedia</a> in Phoenix are each offering up a basket of local goodies to the company whose team wins the Western Conference semifinals.</p>
<p>While the Nashville basket contains such local favorites as Loveless Cafe biscuit mix and preserves, GooGoo Clusters, MoonPies, Cracker Barrel Chow Chow and some Predators memorabilia, the Phoenix basket features a poncho blanket, a Billy the Kid gun and caps, Arizona Beer BBQ sauce,  a Coyotes t-shirt and a Day of the Dead bobble head. Because the winning company will end up with two baskets, each company has agreed that the winner will raffle off the basket they had prepared with their own hometown favorites to one lucky fan of their company’s Facebook Page.</p>
<p>“We actually got the idea for this after seeing the Nashville and Detroit NBC affiliates place a similar wager during Round 1 of the playoffs,’” said Scott Snoyer, owner of Brand Imaging Group, located at 5358 Mt. View Road. “I actually happen to know Jared Smith, the president of bluemedia, through the EO (Entrepreneurs Organization) that we are both members of. When I presented my idea to him, he thought it sounded like fun and both of our teams began putting baskets together.”</p>
<p>While the Coyotes lead the series 2-0, the next two games are scheduled to be played in Nashville on Wednesday and on Friday. The team at Brand Imaging Group also recently showed their Preds pride when they gave the Predators a <a href="http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/predators-given-custom-ping-pong-table-game-5-203610723.html">customized ping-pong table</a> after the team was denied access to a table owned by the Detroit Red Wings.</p>
<p>“We’re very proud of the Coyotes and wish them the best throughout the rest of the season,” said Smith. “We’re happy to have these opportunities to show our support for our team.”</p>

<p>When the <a href="http://arizona.diamondbacks.mlb.com/index.jsp?c_id=ari&amp;sv=1" target="_blank">D-backs</a> approached Justin Upton with the idea to help build a field for underprivileged youth in downtown Phoenix, it seemed like the perfect opportunity.</p>
<p>The only concern Arizona&#8217;s All-Star right fielder had: his lack of a construction resume.</p>
<p>&#8220;I said, &#8216;I can&#8217;t do it with my bare hands, but if you get somebody to build it, I&#8217;d love to be a part of it,&#8217;&#8221; Upton said Thursday, when he saw his goal come to fruition with the opening of Justin Upton Field at University Park in Phoenix.</p>

<p>&#8220;This is an awesome opportunity,&#8221; Upton said. &#8220;I&#8217;m excited about this field being here, and I&#8217;m looking forward to kids being able to come out here and play on this field, look up to me and really enjoy the game of baseball and learn some things about life.&#8221;</p>
<p>Upton understands the benefits of the field better than anyone, as a product of Major League Baseball&#8217;s RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) program. He noted his plans to stop by the park to watch some youth baseball on his way to Chase Field this summer.</p>
<p>The D-backs have partnered with Arizona Public Service (APS) for the construction of the &#8220;Diamonds Back&#8221; fields, and CEO Don Brandt was on hand at the ceremony, praising Upton&#8217;s charitable work.</p>

<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s fitting that this field bears the name of one of baseball&#8217;s best young players,&#8221; Brandt said. &#8220;By attaching his name to this field, Justin has shown again he&#8217;s not just an All-Star on the field, but he&#8217;s a champion in the community.&#8221;</p>
<p>Brandt joked that the field &#8212; with a new electronic scoreboard, roofed dugouts, a dirt infield and finely cut outfield grass &#8212; is the second nicest in Phoenix, behind only Chase Field, which sits about two miles down the road.</p>
<p>The 31 &#8220;Diamonds Back&#8221; fields throughout the state have been built with aid from <a href="http://www.aps.com/" target="_blank">APS</a>, local businesses and donations from players.</p>

The theme was a kick back to 80&#8242;s / 90&#8242;s skateboarding with its bright purple wood grain and black grip tape graphic.</p>

<p>We had the opportunity to get a few ride alongs with Nate in this 450hp V8 Nissan <img src='http://bluemedia.com/corporate/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' />  This young man is full of talent and we are sure we&#8217;ll see him hit the pro circuit very very soon. Here is a quick bio on Nate: <strong>Well, got into skateboarding around 2004. Got super hyped on the &#8220;DO IT YOURSELF&#8221; style sports. Naturally as i grew up a bit CARS come into play and I just instantly had an attraction to motor sports! It took me a bit to truly find the love of drifting and how much it reminded me of skateboarding. All it took was a few rainy winter days with a good friend JORGE LOPEZ and i was hooked! From there we attended local events as much as possible, turning into an addicted roller coaster ride every drifter knows about!! Broke this, blew this up, hit that pole haha but never looking back! So the journey continues!</strong></p>

<p>We just received our batch of die cast replicas of the <a title="NHRA" href="http://www.nhra.com/results/" target="_blank">nhra</a> funny cars we wrapped last year for <a href="http://www.cruzpedregonracing.com/" target="_blank">Cruz Pedregon racing</a>. They even have little bluemedia motorsports logos in the windows, just like the actual vehicles. These things are awesome with their intricate details and bluemedia produced graphics packages. Whether on a 3,000hp car or a toy with no horse power, motorports graphics always seem to grab your attention. This is why Cruz Pedgron and <a href="http://www.snapon.com/" target="_blank">Snap-On racing</a> have relied on bluemedia to help with their motorsports graphics needs that can take the force of 300mph without failing. My personal favorite is seen below in the <a href="http://www.dtaposse.com/" target="_blank">Rogue Status</a> / <a href="http://www.snapon.com/" target="_blank">Snap-on</a> collaboration with Cruz Pedregon racing.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It’s the season for giving and bluemedia launched our first annual Canned Food Drive with <a href="http://www.wastenotaz.org/" target="_blank">Waste Not AZ</a>. Waste Not is a non-profit organization that collects excess perishable food daily from restaurants, resorts, caterers, grocers and various food purveyors – food that would otherwise be thrown away. They deliver this food the same day to feed the hungry, including schools, after-school programs, daycare centers, rehabilitation centers, transition homes and senior facilities.</p>

<p>Last month, <a href="http://www.bluemedia.com" target="_blank">bluemedia</a> wrapped all five of their box trucks – giving their delivery trucks a brand new look as they traveled throughout the valley.  It was an honor for us to team up with Waste Not for our Canned Food Drive.</p>

It was a surprise special event that the mayor was unaware of. This isn&#8217;t the first time that bluemedia has had the honor of working with the mayor. We have had a number of special projects that the city has trusted bluemedia with. Take a look for our handy work next time you take the light rail to a baseball game or night on the town. <p>This past saturday showed that some of us should spend less time on a computer and more time on a treadmill. The <a href="http://www.azurbanrace.com/" target="_blank">AZ Urban Race</a> tested our endurance through a 3.2 mile run that contained 10 obstacles. The weather couldn&#8217;t have been better, a little wet but it sure beat the 115 degree temps that we see in July. The <a href="http://www.azurbanrace.com/" target="_blank">AZ Urban Race</a> Presented by <a href="http://mountainsidefitness.com/default.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1" target="_blank">Mountainside Fitness </a>was a 3.2 mile running event showcasing 10 cool obstacles that participants must run, jump, climb or traverse across. The was held on November 5, 2011 with the course starting and ending at The <a href="http://www.saltriverfields.com/" target="_blank">Salt River Fields at Talking Stick</a>, which just happens to be the new spring training facility for <a href="http://arizona.diamondbacks.mlb.com/index.jsp?c_id=ari" target="_blank">The Diamondbacks</a>! The course featured 10 obstacles to test the strength, speed and fitness of every participant. Event obstacles are posted on website for everyone to view. Obstacles were undoubtedly the primary feature of this race.</p>

<p>29 dedicated staff and friends of <a href="www.bluemedia.com" target="_blank">bluemedia</a> showed up to test their skills. From scaling fences to jumping cars we all had great time proving that we still &#8220;have it&#8221;.</p>
